Not Too Cold, Not Too Sweet

Fasting Break!
 
To break my fasting today: the tropical freshy: cold blewah *what is blewah in English?*, passionfruit, a little bit of honey. Stirred together with water, room temperature cold, and… Maghrib time was just so gratefully fresh and naturally sweet. Not too sweet, though. Not too cold, either.
 
Have a nice fasting break, everyone. Isn’t fasting such a bless?

    blewah is my favorit… hmmm…
    apalagi bagian bijinya diaduk sama air dingin terus disaring, campurin sama daging buahnya…

    Iiiih, tau gak, aku motretnya tuh udah lewat maghrib, gak ada matahari, dan lampu di dapurku tuh kuning rada ceudeum gitu deh. Isonya aku push ke 400 supaya tetep bisa tanpa flash. Jadi ya liat aja tuh butiran warnanya kasar banget 🙂

    vania bener tuh, gue salah, blewah ternyata termasuk keluarga cantaloupe. cuma disini gak ada yg modelnya kayak disana.

    in Malaysia (my state that is) we wud call it betik.. a cantaloupe family. somewhat fragrant.

    perhaps you might want to try eating it with light coconut milk+brown sugar sauce..heaven on earth!

    iyah setuju Ruri, jaring2 di tengah itu yang bikin es blewah nambah wangi & segeeeerrr…. biasanya dikerok jaring2 tengahnya, tambah aer dingin, kocok2 yang kuenceng biar bijinya pada lepas & ngapung, sendokin aja bijinya, aer & sisa jaring2nya masukin ke es blewah, joossss dah!
